Este martes se dio a conocer la sensible noticia de la muerte de Antonio “Tota” Carbajal<\/strong>, reconocido por ser el primer “cinco copas” mexicano, a los 93 años.<\/p>\n

Se le llamaba “cinco copas” a “La tota” por haber sido el primer jugador<\/strong> de la Selección Mexicana<\/strong><\/a> en disputar 5 ediciones diferentes de la Copa del Mundo de futbol, entre los años de 1950 y 1966.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Antonio Carbajal murió este martes después de haber estado hospitalizado los últimos días.<\/p>\n

Como futbolista, sólo fue jugador de dos equipos a nivel profesional; debutó en el Real España, pero fue con el León<\/strong><\/a> donde vivió sus mejores momentos.<\/p>\n

“La Tota” mantuvo en solitario el récord de ser el primer mexicano en haber jugado 5 mundiales por más de tres décadas. Fue en el año 2018 cuando el canterano de Atlas y ex defensa del Real Madrid, Rafa Márquez, lo alcanzó en dicha marca.<\/p>\n
