Una amplia mayoría de 26 países aprobó este miércoles en la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) una resolución para pedir a las autoridades bolivianas que convoquen “urgentemente” elecciones en el país andino<\/span><\/strong>, sacudido por fuertes protestas desde hace semanas.<\/p>\n

La iniciativa, impulsada por Colombia y Brasil, recibió por sorpresa el respaldo de la propia Bolivia (actualmente con un gobierno interino) y de naciones caribeñas<\/span><\/strong> como Antigua y Barbuda, que consideraron crucial la convocatoria de elecciones, aunque criticaron el papel que están jugando las Fuerzas Armadas y la forma en la que Jeanine Áñez asumió la presidencia hace una semana.<\/p>\n

Tres naciones, entre ellas Nicaragua y México, se opusieron, mientras que cuatro se abstuvieron y una misión estuvo ausente<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Áñez asumió la presidencia de forma interina después de que el 10 de noviembre Evo Morales<\/strong><\/a> anunciara su renuncia tras casi catorce años en el poder, forzado por las Fuerzas Armadas, y al día siguiente saliera hacia México<\/strong><\/a>, donde está asilado.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
