A los jugadores de la NBA se les permitiría usar camisetas con lemas que respalden causas de justicia social u organizaciones benéficas en lugar de sus nombres cuando la Liga se reanude a partir del 30 de julio próximo en Orlando, Florida, informó la cadena ESPN.<\/p>\n

El armador del <\/span>Thunder<\/span> de <\/span>Oklahoma<\/span>, <\/span>Chris<\/span> <\/span>Paul<\/span>, presidente de la Asociación Nacional de Jugadores de Baloncesto, dijo al sitio web <\/span>The<\/span> <\/span>Undefeated<\/span> de <\/span>ESPN<\/span> que los jugadores estaban en conversaciones con la Liga sobre la iniciativa.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

El informe dijo que las camisetas podrían llevar mensajes como “Black Lives Matter” o “I Can’t Breathe”, dos lemas populares del movimiento de protesta que estalló después de la muerte del afroamericano George Floyd a manos de un policía blanco en Minneápolis el mes pasado.<\/p>\n

“Sólo estamos tratando de seguir arrojando luz sobre los diferentes problemas de justicia social de los que los muchachos de nuestra Liga continúan hablando día tras día”, dijo Paul a The Undefeated.<\/p>\n

“La gente dice que la justicia social estará fuera de la mente de todos en Orlando. Con estas camisetas, no desaparece”, añadió.<\/p>\n
