Romelu Lukaku<\/strong><\/a>, delantero del Inter de Milán<\/strong><\/a> y de la selección de Bélgica<\/strong><\/a>, reconoció que su familia luchó contra el hambre hasta que él cumplió 16 años y llegó al primer equipo del Anderlecht<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

“Cuando mi padre (también futbolista) paró de jugar, yo tenía seis años y en mi familia ya no teníamos dinero. Mi madre tenía diabetes, pero tuvo que seguir trabajando. Hasta mis 16 años no fue fácil. Por la noche mis padres no cenaban para dejarnos comida (a él y a su hermano)”, afirmó Romelu<\/strong>, quien participó en el Festival del Deporte, organizado por el diario italiano La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Lukaku<\/strong>, nació en Amberes en 1993 y creció en los barrios humildes de Bruselas, fue uno de los niños prodigio de la cantera del Anderlecht y se afirmó desde los 16 años en el primer equipo, hasta llegar a la Premier League<\/strong> con 18 años, cuando lo fichó el Chelsea.<\/p>\n

“Mis ganas de afirmarme se originaron en mi juventud, quiero premiar los sacrificios de mi madre”, destacó Lukaku, quien ahora es el futbolista mejor pagado del Inter de Milán. <\/p>\n

“Yo solo pensaba en el futbol, me despertaba y pensaba en convertirme en un futbolista de elite. Me iba al colegio y luego al entrenamiento, nada más.
