El FBI identificó este miércoles al hombre que asesinó en un ataque con cuchillo a un policía del Pentágono, sin explicar los motivos de la agresión.<\/p>\n

Según la policía federal estadunidense, Austin William Lanz, de 27 años, bajó de un autobús el martes por la mañana e “inmediatamente, sin provocación” apuñaló al oficial de la Fuerza de protección del Pentágono, George González, a unos pocos metros de una de las entradas del cuartel general del ejército.<\/p>\n

“Siguió una lucha durante la cual el individuo hirió de muerte al oficial de policía y luego se disparó a sí mismo con el arma de servicio del policía”, precisó el FBI en un comunicado.<\/p>\n

Otros agentes intervinieron y Austin Lanz, originario de Georgia, en el sur de Estados Unidos, murió en el lugar, agregó la policía federal. No precisó si los otros policías usaron sus armas, pero varios testigos reportaron múltiples disparos.<\/p>\n
