México.- Este miércoles murió a los 81 años de edad<\/strong> el periodista Vicente Leñero.<\/p>\n

El portentoso escritor<\/strong> fue fundador del semanario Proceso<\/em>, y falleció en la Ciudad de México, confirmaron sus familiares.<\/p>\n

Los géneros del escritor son n<\/strong>ovela, teatro, crónica, cuento,<\/strong> así como guión cinematográfico<\/strong>, y es considerado como “uno de los escritores y dramaturgos más importantes de la generación del medio siglo XX mexicano”. <\/p>\n

Nació en Guadalajara<\/strong>, Jalisco, en 1933. Titulado como ingeniero civil<\/strong> para complacer a su padre, Leñero desarrolló su verdadera vocación: la literatura.<\/p>\n

Así se refirió el p<\/span>eriodista e investigador Alejandro Toledo, sobre Leñero: “S<\/span>i en el Carlos Fuentes de <\/span>La región más transparente<\/em> vemos al país en que nos tocó vivir, en Leñero aparece el mexicano que nos tocó ser”.<\/span><\/p>\n

En su larga trayectoria, obtuvo diversos reconocimientos como el Premio Biblioteca Breve en 1963, por su libro Los albañiles<\/em><\/strong>; la beca Guggenheim en 1967; los premios Xavier Villaurrutia<\/strong> y el Nacional de Ciencias y Artes en Lingüística y Literatura<\/strong> en 2001.<\/p>\n

Además, fue miembro de número de la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua, a partir de 2010, y se le galardonó en 2011 con la Medalla Bellas Artes<\/strong> otorgada por el INBA.<\/p>\n

Alguna vez, dijo de sí mismo: “No soy un escritor. Siempre me ha costado mucho hacerlo, de hecho aunque he escrito muchas cosas, la mitad debí no haberlas escrito, y sí, aprendí a escribir, porque había clases de redacción y fui autodidacta, me esforcé por aprender los secretos del lenguaje escrito”.<\/p>\n
